Job Information

RCI are the global finance house for the automotive manufacturers Renault, Nissan, Dacia and Infiniti. At the crossroads between the automotive and finance sectors, two fascinating industries, we can offer a unique perspective for undergraduate students seeking practical business experience.

This year we aim to provide ambitious students with the opportunity to join our team for a 12 month period. We understand the importance of gaining the right work experience during your studies. You will need to be prepared to get involved from the start and take on responsibility while meeting new challenges. A work placement at RCI is a great opportunity to gain experience in an ambitious captive Motor Finance company with a growing product portfolio.

This year, we plan to offer placement various opportunities in the following business areas: 

Human Resources (HR)

You will be part of a small HR team with responsibility for provision of dedicated support to all HR related issues to help maximise the performance of the department.  You will be involved with the day to day tasks and activities including recruitment, administration, projects, training and analysis.

By taking a proactive approach, having strong attention to detail and being prepared to learn how HR interact with the business you will be provided with a good basis in which to start a career in HR.


The Marketing department is about communicating the value of our product, service and brand to customers and consumers. The marketing department has overall responsibility for growing revenue, increasing market share and contributing to company growth and profitability. It promotes the business and drives sales of our products and services as well as provides the necessary research to identify the company’s target customers and other audiences.

Information Systems (IT)

The Information Systems department is broad and integrated with the whole organisation. It covers a wide range of responsibilities ,such as making available a suite of computer applications that enhances the ability of RCI Financial Services Limited, to integrate these applications so that information moves smoothly and accurately, to understand the business requirements of all functions to continually improve on existing processes and applications. Monitor evolving technology and business practice and recommend investment in new systems where appropriate and support computer applications, hardware and communications to both internal departments and to external customers and suppliers. The department provides exposure to all areas of the business and is a fun and vibrant team, pushing ahead with new approaches and technologies. Organisation & Project Team (OP)

The Organisation & Project Team (OP) in the Information Systems department carry out a key role within RCI Financial Services. We act as the bridge between the business and the technical teams.

The OP Team are responsible for:

  • Project management of IS projects.
  • The quality of new software releases through User Acceptance Testing.
  • Providing high quality maintenance management through prioritisation and analysis.

The Development team

The Development team within the IS Department is in charge of the development & maintenance of all software used within RCI Financial Services as well as externally with dealers.

  • The role offers great diversity, from coding applications to taking care of the deployment, quality, code management, and testing processes. You will take part in implementations such as regression testing, gaining responsibility of industrialising and improving this process and assist it to the next level.
  • Within this role you will be working directly with the Operations and Projects team (OP), assisting to get the functional & technical requirements ready and completed.

The IS Department  is a vibrant team to be a part of and offers the opportunity to explore all areas of the business. You will have the opportunity to explore every aspect of the department. 

RCI Bank

Operations & Change Intern, RCI Bank

Reporting into: Operations & Change Manager

General support to RCI Bank operations and change team and ensuring the smooth-running of RCI Bank on a day-to-day basis. This is a broad role suiting a good all-rounder who’s keen to gain an in-depth understanding of banking operations. You’ll be managing and analysing channels, delivering change projects and playing a key role in daily operations.

Data & Risk Control Intern, RCI Bank

Reporting into: Risk Manager, Operations team

You’ll be RCI Bank’s data guru and a key part of the risk team. A key role involving data analysis, you’ll be feeding our management team strategic reports, analysis and information to help understand our customer behaviour, set direction for the business and ensure we’re compliant and in control. With a passion for numbers, you’ll also get the chance to deliver change and delve into areas of banking which you find most interesting.


An exciting opportunity to support the Head of Fleet to develop our growth within the business user market across sales, marketing, operations departments and in partnership with the motor manufacturers. Head of Fleet is responsible for the development of finance and services business to small and medium business enterprises. The role is to provide analytical and administrative support for the Head of Fleet.


Provide support to Head of Fleet in all aspects of their role.

Administration to support management of a variety of key projects

Analysis of trends and performance with regard to  products and services. Summarising and presenting key findings.

Liaison with all relevant departments including the motor manufacturers to support the objectives of the Head of Fleet.
